Registration Question

Featured Replies

The vrs is coming sometime this week, the car has not been registered yet in my name, i was planning on putting registration in my mums name once i get the car which would take a few days to sort out with the dvla.

Instead would it be possible to get the car registered in her name straight away at skoda to save the messing about as the car would not have been registered yet?

If you go down this route, I would register it your mums name from the start, changing later will mean an additional keeper recorded on the V5 and could hurt resale values later.

I agree with Manny. So in effect, your mum is going to be the owner (on V5) and the insurer, and all you are going to be is the purchaser...
