Please help

Had some noises from the front end investigations showed I needed new wish bones! So I did that, noises continued so I have had new top mounts and arb bushes.

The origional arb bushes were pattern ones which were ****e and were loose leading to the same knocking noise.

Had these replaced with genuine vw ones and the noise was better but still there.

I'm looking at some power flex ones to try and sort it out once and for all.

Any ideas???????

have you checked to see if your radiator is loose and causing a knocking sound? My rubber mounts on the bottom have gone so was causing a knocking sound.

Had the plastic sleeve on the anti roll bar broke when you fitted the new anti roll bar bushes? It the sleeve is missing you need to fit the smaller anti roll bar bushes to compensate.Originals will be too loose.

I'm pretty sure it's the arb noise as it's the same noise as before and when I jack the car up with my hand on the arb you can feel a very slight vibration through it!

Not sure about the plastic sleeves, I didn't notice any thing untoward and I had the help of a pro mechanic so thought he would have spotted it?

Pro mechs often miss things lol

Powerflex don't do a bush for these cars arb's, super pro do though
