Featured Replies

Strange one, i have alot of gold caked on brake dust down the edges of all four doors of my car! Whats the safest and easiest way to remove it?

Probably a clay bar and plenty of lube when using it.

Gold caked on brake dust? Any pics?

Sounds like Iron fillings to me............might be worth investing in some Aquartz Iron Cut, been using it a lot myself lately with good results.............

I am toying with paying someone tbh, i spent 8 and a half hours on my old Blue Fiesta ST and as much as i loved the outcome i cba doing it again haha

But at the same time, with the car being silver and the condition of the paint with the stone chips and the scuffed back arch it's not worth spending vast amounts of cash on a detail lol

Having read about it I'd plus 1 trying Iron Cut.

Me too. It looks a very good product.

To the OP:

The secret to clean alloys is washing them every week and adding a wheel sealer every month

They will be always easy to clean

It's not my alloys that's the problem lol, my work has a very good non acidic cleaner that removes any caked on brake dust. But i don't wanna use that on my doors lol

I agree with Baker, the Iron cut Is a very good product for Iron filings, apart from the smell :giggle:
