4x4 estate exhaust

Featured Replies

Looking for some clarity on the correct part numbers to order.

I need a new exhaust from the cat back. The existing units have the following codes:

mid pipe = 1JO 119 0

back box = 1JO 119 AH

Both are VAG original parts (not bad for 8 years and 130k).

Googling these parts (dangerous I know) reveals nothing. I thought I had found one on Ebay (yes, even more dangerous) but the more I examine it, the less convinced I am. Part numbers are 1J0 253 209 C (front) and 1J5 253 609 Q (back)

Does anyone know, or know where to find the correct part number?

Cheers,

G WATSON.

I would look on VAG Cat but that's now been taken down.

Have you tried phoning a Skoda dealer with your reg number?

They are not too helpful in my area unless you are flashing the plastic. I could try another area though. I've asked the vendor of the one I think matches to see if it will fit. I'll check what he says against a dealer before committing.

From what I can tell from the copy of ETKA I have , the front one is 1J9 253 209G and the rear is 1J9 253 609Q , hth, Dave

Cheers, I called a Skoda dealer who advised that the mid section is 1J9 253 209 F and the rear is 1J9 253 609 D.

I tried a couple of sources who specialise in VAG parts and none of them have these available. I'll try the part numbers you gave me.

Hello

I've just had the complete OEM exhaust taken off my 4x4 hatch, of any interest ?

As far as I'm aware, its the one that came from factory. Its done 40K, no signs of any issues at all.

It just been off, and I've not had a chance to fully inspect it + take photos.

I'm just the other side of Great Torrington

My tuner has removed it in order to fit this one:

Just out of casualty after collapsing when being quoted (ahem) £675.00 from a Skoda dealer for the exhaust. Probably 1/3 of the value of the car.

FFS, I want to buy the exhaust, not the factory that makes it.

Surely a stainless steel item would be cheaper, longer lasting and give better performance and economy?

Garage welded the clean break on the middle box. Good job, end of problem.

Thanks for all your help.

Happy motoring,

GPW.
