Is it or Isn't it ?

How do I tell if my Octavia's a PD or not

If it's a 90 or 110 bhp old shape TDI then it isn't.

If it's a 130 bhp old shape or either of the new ones it is.

Ah right cheers

Mine's a 110hp old shape so a non PD therefore :D

Far better in anycase. Better BHP (110 compared with 103) and better mpg. Can't see why VW changed to PD?

Euro 4 emissions regulations , and to achive a higher power output from the same capacity engine.

Could it be anything to do with Euro emission compliancy?

Rob.

Could be, but they seem to have abandoned the higher power 1.9 TDi PD in favour of the 2.0, leaving only a 1.9 PD of lesser power than the non PD. Was the original 90 and 110 common rail?
