Cruise Control Coding Help!

Featured Replies

I’m trying to install Cruise Control to my 2006 VRS TDI. We have the stalks changed over which was all fine but the problem I have is coding the new cruise control Stalk.

The Steering Wheel Control Module number I have and its 1K0-953-549-BC.

I have activated the cruise control using the code 11463 in the engine and the G is now included in the component field.

I have Control Modules with Software Version 0101 or lower which I have coded to: 0000042.

The cruise control still isn’t working so does somebody know what else I have to do to get it going.

Thanks

Kev

If you enter with VCDS on 01-engine, 08-measuring block, channel 06, when push set or res button on stalk, there is any changing ob bite? From 0 to 1 ?

When power on CCS, last 2 bites should be 11, same things when push set, res, brake, clutch.

If not, you heve to check if is the white/black wire installed from Steering Wheel Control Module connector pin 13 to ECU.

The same verification can be done on 16 steering wheel.

I checked the engine measuring blocks and all seem ok. The last 2 digits change to 11 for a second when I switch on the stalk, If I press RES /+ the fourth last digit changes to 1 and Set + the third last digit changes to 1.

In the Steering Wheel I checked channel 04 as there was nothing in Channel 06.

Cruise Control Main Switch = On

CCS Set= Not Oper

When I press the Res/+ and Set /- the CCS Set changes between Accel and Delay which seem ok.

the last digit should remaining 11 when you switch on the stalk. MAy be poor contact in the stalk. The stalk was new ?

There is any error on engine or steering wheel?

but when press brake, any change of bit? and also another bit when press the clutch ?

Ya did it myself with VAGCOM, I'm sure a fellow member with VAGCOM close to you could help with the coding as its only a few minutes to do!

Those of you wanting CC stalks might like to know that Rainworth Skoda (the dealer in Mansfield) sell Skoda parts via mail order at good prices. They sell the CC stalks at £59.95 inc. VAT and next day delivery.
