Skoda Octavia 54plate A5 model 1.9TDI 110Bhp

Featured Replies

Hi,I am a newbie to this site following the sudden death of my Octavia while on holiday..

My 54 plate A5 model Octavia 1.9 TDI turbo has failed, I am looking for some advice so that I can go to a garage armed with some knowledge. I was driving at 70mph then I had power loss and a big puff of white smoke from the exhaust. When I stopped the car it was still ticking over at the normal rpm, I have not started the vehicle since being towed back to our holiday camp site. The turbo had been whining a little louder than normal for a couple of days before this incident. On checking the engine compartment I can not see anything suspect. All coolant is in place only the oil is missing. I can only assume this is what was extracted while on the motorway?? any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Best regards.

Floydie.
