Featured Replies

Hi all, i have an 2006 Octy VRS 2 Liter TFSI Petrol Manual which as done around 35K on the clock.

Well as the topic says. What is the recommended Age or Mileage for the:

1. Timing Belt Change

2. Cam Belt Change

i have had an light weight neuspeed pulley fitted in about an year ago, it came with an belt which Awesome GTI have used. Is this an Timing Belt or it an Alternator Belt or they are the same thing?

i'm sorry i sound like an morron, not very tech minded.

thanks for all your help peeps.

O COME ON! nobody knows or cares.....

I've been told 4 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes sooner by a well known tuner.

I've also been told it's 5 years by an audi tech.

Phone Skoda and see what they say. I was quoted £450 all in if that's any use

telephone a few different skoda dealers for quotes on doing a cambelt change as they dont always use the same system for pricing and you can then play one dealer off against the other to lower their price.
