Allard Aluminium EGR Valve Power Pipe Kit

No one have any of these fitted to there diesels??

Probably better off asking in the Furby I forum I think it's the same engine and a lot of them do it to theirs?

I would be interested in doing something to my 110, but I think that is classed as a bit old hat these days :-(

Here's what +/- 140k miles of EGR does to the inside of the EGR valve

and here's what the Allard EGR delete looks like fitted as part of my turbo replacement package on my PD130 Fabia vRS

Do you just block off the EGR flexi pipe from the turbo? What did you do with the rocker cover breather pipe? catch can, or just let it dribble into a wheel arch (or something?) I am trying to do mine as cheaply as possible :-)

Also what happens to the anti-shudder butterfly unit which is in the original EGR assembly? Is that just "lost"?

This is what mine looked like the first time I did it

Essentially yes. The flexy pipe is removed and there is a bolt on blanking plate and gasket as part of the kit.

I did run a catch can for a while but it was a P.I.T.A. so for now it runs down the back of the block, zip tied to one of the exhaust hangers and vents to atmosphere.

Indeed, the butterfly is lost, so turning off the engine is a bit rouger than normal.

Cool... well in that case I might see if I can find myself a suitable kit for my 110 - does anyone know if the PD130 kit is appropriate for my old chugger?

I assume I could do the following:

stage 1: let it vent to atmosphere and blank off the point where the hose needs back into the air intake before the turbo. (cost: minimal)

stage 2: fit a EGR blanking kit. (cost: £80?)

or you could just blank off the egr pipe on the turbo (solid gasket made from coke can) and decoke the manifold which is free.

my TDI 110 egr is all missing from inside the housing just has a bit of quick steel to blank off the hole in the top of the housing and keeps the anti shudder valve (as that has saved an engine at work which had a "runaway incident lol)
