Hi everyone,

My name is Dave and i have posted a couple times in the Felicia section about some running problems I have had with the car since i bought it a couple of months ago.

I bought the Felicia off of a mate for a cheap run about as i have just bought my first house.

When i first bought the car it looked like this

I have since started to remove all the stickers etc to return it back to the standard car with the thought to lower it, spray the roof matte black and tidy up the rest of the body work. Just after I bought it a rotational knocking/crunching noice started coming from the passenger side of the engine on light throttle. The only thing i could see in the engine bay was a split inner CV joint boot. With the thought that the inner CV joint was starting to dry up and make a noise, so i bought a new one for £50 and fitted thinking that would fit it. Oh how i was wrong. The noise has just gotten worse.

I have had a machanic mate have a look at the car on some raps and test out the rear engine mount etc and neither of could see anything and we could replicate the noise on the ramps :( .

So, after all this work and fuss (for a 'cheap run about') I have finally descided to replace the leather interior and alloys with the originals, sell them seperately and then try and sell the car as a even cheaper car for someone.

So, I have a leather interior for sale, can someone tell me how i can post in the for sale section?

Cheers

Dave

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Skoda ownership sure is interesting. Yesterday the old Felicia cut out on my twice lol. I think it gets dodgey when there is only a little bit of fuel left in it.

Here is the ad for the leather interior i have taken from the car. http://www.swdubs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=7783 They are in good nick really. Anyone interested give me a pm.

(sorry mods if i am not allowed to post links to other for sale threads.)

Cheers

Dave

Hello again everyone.

I have been away for a while but many things have changed.

As you can see above the Felcia started life looking like this...

After many hours of snading and painting, it now looks like this...

Quite a change :)

It would have been alot easier if Rich (pervious owner) didn't use paint for the stripes, but at least it encouraged me to paint a couple of other rusty bits along the way.

Basically I had a couple of colour match Skoda paint cans, so I used various grades of wet and dry to get all of the red and green paint off (which caused me to rub through to the primer in several places) adn then i sprayed in the rubbed down areas on the car within the colour match cans. I then used some soapy water and some 2000 grit and went over the over spray and sprayed areas to give the car a better finish. I am really happy with how it turned out :)

Along the way the car has lost the leather and the alloys, but its still a very cheap around and it went straight through the MOT about a month ago :) (be it with a new exhaust the i fitted before the test).

The cars been a good little runaround for me, but its time to move on as i have just bought a new mk2 Rocco (that also needs work lol) so the Skoda is now up for sale. Ad here.
