Two DPF regens in 3 weeks!

Featured Replies

This to me, doesn't sound quite right.

First one I took it into the garage and they did the regen for me. I did the other myself last night after a drive down the motorway for 10 minutes.

The car is a 2008 vrs (PD) and only done 27,000 miles.

Anyone any ideas - or shall I just get the DPF bypass done?

Cheers,

Andy

Has the car had the 26E6 campaign carried out by the dealer? This provides a new map for the ECU and replaces an exhaust pressure sensor so that the DPF is managed better by the ECU. I used to own a PD Vrs and it used to regen frequently before the 26E6 mod was done. If not I would get it done ASAP.

If you have had the 26E6 mod done, I would, suspect a faulty exhaust pressure sensor.

I agree. And if it is the exhaust pressure sensor this will still affect after a de-dpf. Mine went into limp home after a de-dpf and the sensor was to blame.

Well, I have had a remap done by Ben @ Shark this weekend, so is this likely to be picked up by them or will them doing this revert it back to the original map?
