what have i done? disconnected battery and all dash warning lights are on

I finally found the can gateway which i disconnected after disconnecting the battery now all dash warning lights are on. I have not doen anything to the car except diconnect the battery then the can gateway?

Dont know about the airbag, but all the other lights come on when I have disconnected my battery in the past. A short drive and they should all dissapear.

Just drive the car a few metres and they should go out.

they have all gone out except the airbag.

find somne one with VAGCOM just to check it. Might be as simple as a reset?

Yes they will all go out apart from the airbag, you will need either VCDS or a dealer to reset it.

ive just ordered a vag com as i will need it to code the ops anyway. how do you reset faults?

Did you order the genuine interface or an ebay jobbie? As you need the pukka thing for CAN based cars.

After you have done a scan, save the scan then click on the (IIRC) 'reset' button - it's pretty straightforward and obvious when you do it.

ordered the real thing 204quid for the usb micro can. the list of things im retro fitting is getting longer so thought i should get one as it will be easier than finding someone with a vcds. ok reset sounds simple enough cheers for the help.
