Loota, did you get any compensation because of this delivery time?

I did not get any compensation, but the there was no price increase because of the VAT increase by 1 % (would have been more that 400€). I got the umbrella for free :giggle: , though. Plus, I got a 2011 model car, which has for example better Bluetooth system etc.

Hi Tommi!

Congrats to a nice car! Maybe a stupid question to a Finn... :) but what kind of winter tires (fabric) have you bought for your Skoda?

Thanks! I bought Nokian tyres (made in Finland) (Nokian Tyres). My tyres are Nokian Hakkapeliitta R, 205/60 R16. I would have bought 205/55 R16 if those were available at the store were I bought those but these are fine also. I guess that other manufactures have a good non-spikes tyres also like Continental Ice Contact, etc., but I have always trusted Nokian tyres as a winter tyres and that's why choose those.

Can agree with that! Used Continental conti contact with spikes for years with exception for two seasons using Hankook with spikes but chose Hakkapeliita`s with spikes last year, huge improvement especially on icy surfaces, when you basically need them the most, in other words, where small driving errors, or not seeing that bump in the road halfway through a corner, can have big consequences. Something I got to experience first hand when, on Continentals, our Opel drove over a small bump in the middle of a slow corner which lifted the front wheels of the Ol` Vivaro ever so slightly causing all two thousend kilograms of the van to slide into a pirouette, eventually coming to a halt on the - not so - hard shoulder, and then tipping sideways into the frozen ditch by the side of the road.

Even use Hakkapeliita`s for my bicycle`s wintertires

Thanks for the reply, I have looked at them as well, they seems to be the best combo for my needs. As a side note a have Nokian both summer and winter tires, HKP 5 (spikes) on my current Mondeo. I haven't thought about the profile earlier but you got me thinking here. Higher profile, higher comfort, or? I have to do some more googling here....
