Columbus FL Octavia

Featured Replies

I have a FL VRS with Bluetooth, Climate display and rear parking sensors.

Will a 1Z0 unit work in my car?

Yes..BUT you will need to get the GPS aerial ...it replaces the standard one on the roof

Not worried about the aerial, a magnetic one under the dash will do - does it just work or does the F/W definitely need to be updated?

Why not just update the firmware anyway?

Well its a Satnav im going to buy so wanted to test when i collect and its just if he will let me do the f/w update and also if the f/w update is what is needed to make it work in a FL.

Ah ok didn't know that! Don't listen to AM anyway so not an issue!

You'll also need a single to twin FAKRA aerial adapter if you want to listen to AM as well as FM.

The aerial lead on the car only has a single FAKRA plug, and the Columbus has 2 FAKRA aerial sockets, one for FM, and the other for AM.

You wont need any sort of aerial adapter to fit Columus into a FL. The Bolero has exactly the same twin FAKRA connector as the Columbus so your radio operation will be unaffected.

Doesnt the FL have two antennas? One is on the roof and in a hatchback the other one is in the rear window (estate last right rear window), because most of the works radios have already antenna diversity.
