Real problem with engine - maybe DPF related?

Featured Replies

I hope someone can help me here.

A few weeks ago, I took my car to Skoda in Warrington because the DPF light came on but before that it was running like a dog. It would tick over at 1,000 rpm and the drive was very lumpy.

Since then it has happened again where the DPF light came on, then 2 more times where I took it for a run up the motorway in 3rd : just over 3,500 rpm to regen again.

It just keeps doing it now. The revs at tick over will be 1,000 and it drives terribly.

Before I call Skoda, is there anything I might tell them to look out for or try?

Cheers,

Andy

Dirty EGR valve is what I keep hearing on other forums when diesels start playing up.
