Copper grease OK on bushes?

Featured Replies

Someone has asked me if copper grease is OK to use as a lubricant to fitting bushes, told him I didn't know but that I'd heard of washing-up liquid being used, he's not going to attempt this until the weekend.

Anyone offer any advice as to whether copper grease would be OK?

yeah copper grease is fine, is even supplied by powerflex i think

Don't use washing up liquid, it has a high salt content and can rust hte metal parts of the bush prematurely. Copper grease ok and Waxoyl ok Stops them rusting. Don't use mineral based greased either, they will rot the rubber.

Red rubber grease would be the best option - stops them squeeking too.
