1.9 TDi Which clutch?

Featured Replies

I've got a 1998, 1.9TD SLXi.

After 202K miles on my original clutch it's time to change it.

I beleive these cars have a dual mass flywheel so:

What if any are the advantages and disadvantages of keeping the dual mass flywheel and clutch set up?

Should I go for a single flywheel and clutch?

Cheers

If you just have standard power i.e not remapped keep the standard dmf. There is absolutely no need to change if you are looking to remap that car, then you can use the single flywheel maybe the G60 flywheel combo or like what I have Southbend clutch, depends on what sort of power you are after ready.

Ah right so you guys are only changing from DMF if you are tuning the cars. I did wonder if it was an issue with price for a replacement or there DMF's are not all they're cracked out to be.

I'm quite happy with the 110bh. A little more would be better but the fuel consumption is great at present and besides it may end up being faster than my S13!
