airbag fault

i own an 06 plate skoda octavia 2.0ltr fsi elegance. the display lit up with airbag fault. my wife took it to be seen and it was reset. however it has come on again and they now say it could be a wire under the drivers or passengers seat. I was informed there was a recall on my model, but skoda dealers say nothing shows up on there system. Can anyone help as i dont know what to do !

Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that. Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks
