Bluetooth confusion - pairing?

Featured Replies

Hello, hoping for some help...

We just took possession of a second-hand yeti in elegance spec today and we love it. My wife has an iPhone 3GS so tonight I thought I would try to pair it up to the car.

When I go into the iphone Bluetooth settings the phone sees the car. When I try to pair it I am asked for a code and cannot make any further progress. The car seems to have no Bluetooth setting screens on the dash or the radio (bolero). I hunted throughout the paperwork for a code and even scrabbled under the front seat to look at the Bluetooth box.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance, James

You get the phone to pair with the headunit

code is either 1234 or 0000

It worked! 1234 - same as my bank cards.

Thank you very much for helping out so swiftly.

That's what this YETI forum is all about! It is a really friendly supportive and sometimes hilarious place to be, to learn all about our favourite cars - also called Snow Monsters.

Word of advice, though ..... dont ever, not never, on pain of ex-communication mention sn*w-CH**NS!!!

The sky will fall in, waters rise, and The Plumber's eternal damnation will descend! (BTW- TP is the yeti Wikipaedia, thank goodness, whose knowledge has helped us all.)

Are you running iOS4 on the iPhone 3GS?

The manual states that the Bluetooth can do A2DP. Can you get it to work? streaming music from your iPhone through the head unit?

I really do hope so..

I have OS 4 on my iPhone 4 and I can't get Bluetooth audio to work. Has anyone else had any luck?

Hi jr1003, where do you keep your bank cards please :giggle:

On my last Iphone 3G on iOS 3 and 4 it worked fine.

On my nice shiny new iPhone 4 it works flawlessly with my nice shiny new Snow Monster.

I play music and audiobooks, make and receive calls perfectly every day.

How did you get it to work? My phone pairing works fine- I just can't get the audio to work.

I have Bolero in my Yeti.

I have read on this forum previously that Bluetooth audio only works with build year 2011 cars, even though there is an option to turn Bluetooth audio streaming on with older cars.
