Octy vRS TDi fog light replacement

Featured Replies

Hello all!

I have become somewhat peeved at the mangy yellow light cast by the front fogs - especially obvious as I have xenon headlights. Anyone point me to a 'how to' thread, I've had a brief look but the underside of the front bumper looks like it's sealed in a plastic shroud. What I hoped would be an hours tinkering might be more complicated. . .

cheers

Drop vRSCarl a PM, he removed the fog light surround to wrap them in carbon, so I'm sure he will know how to access the fog to change the bulb.

HTH.

There's a special bit in the owners manual on how to replace the foglight bulbs for the VRS and Scout. Might be time to break it out - or its available online on the Skoda corporate website...

Thanks guys - looking at the manual is a novel idea ( :giggle: ha ha!) never thought of that. Carbon surrounds sound pretty serious. . . might PM vRSCarl if I have no joy with the manual.

Would be interested to know what page if possible?....maybe my older manual is different but I didn't see anything.

I've just checked my PDF version of the pre-FL manual, and foglight replacement isn't covered. It just mentions the type of bulb required. It goes through the process for the front and rear units, but not the fogs.

What a pain - it's obviously changed with the facelift. I don't suppose the post FL manual gives any clues? Otherwise I would quiz a dealers service dept. Sorry about the duff info.

I've got the post-FL manual somewhere as well - will take a look.
