Winter sport in the mud

Featured Replies

This reminds me of playing Rugby in Wellington in the late 1960's. My memory is trying to say that it was like this every weekend but I don't think so. It's good to have a real winter after 12 or so years of drought.

It's good to have a real winter again.

That's a typical British summer day!

You've nicely captured the mood of the event.

Cracking pics there - what equipment are you using?

Great shots, if mine were even half as good I'd be happy (being the novice that I am!). As JRW said, what kit are you using, and what settings too? B)

Nikon D300 with 70-200mm VR??

Correct plus MB-D10 grip.

Aperture priority, min shutter speed 1/1000 max iso 1600 and let the camera do the rest. Two extra important things, a Gore Tex rain coat for me and a Think Tank Hydrophobia for the camera.

Thanks for the comments.

Nice Camera! Got the D90 myself.

Great shots. Cant be winter though as there is still some light and no horizontal sleet.

Thanks for the link to the think tank hood. Been looking for one.

What a messy game! Great shots.
