Felly 1.9D Wont Start

Featured Replies

I've spent the last 15 mins going through searches so hopefully this isn't a pea roast..

Recently aquired a Felicia 1.9D. It's been fine for the past few weeks, although only been driven in and out of the workshop at work..

The other day, one of our techs came to pull the car out and couldn't get it to start.. Sure enough, i took a look and it wont start..

The glow plug light comes on as usual, goes out but then comes back on and flashes.. Does anyone know what this indicates??

Thanks

Kev

Could be a glow plug issue

check the fuses in the extra fuse box on the ns strut sometimes the 7.5A one will work loose.

otherwise it may be the 50A one blown or the glowplugs burnt out.

the will start with just 1 plug working in the warmer weather but wont with none working (without assistance from some magic spray anyway)

That'll be my first thing to check, although the previous owner had only recently fitted new plugs..

Wonder whether he had an underlying issue..

Turns out this was the glow plug relay... There's no continuity between one of the trigger pins to the coil inside. New relay £20..
