i have an 54 plate octy vrs its done 45k is it worth changing the fuel filter and is it a easy job

Easy job and a new filter is under £10 so yes worth doing,though not a must do job.

I bought one the other week from Skoda and they were surprised I wanted to replace it as apparently it never needs to be replaced.

My car's done over 130k miles so for less than a tenner I might as well!

I bought one of these some time ago and couldnt release the clips from either end.

How do they release?

You squeeze them on both sides and they should just pull off.

If that doesn't work when I come to change mine I'll put some long nosed pliers in front of them and try to push them off with those while I squeeze the sides.
