have they played with the apect ration on the ad?

Featured Replies

Interesting Fabia 2 advert running on the telly.

Looks to me that they have been playing with the Aspect ratio as the FL Fabia 2 looks squatter?

Trading Standards might be interested if SUK or Skoda-auto have been fiddling, shame one cannot do this in metal as well as video, keep waiting for VRS SE replacement.

I haven't seen the ad...but why would they play with it? Unless it's made plain in the ad that this has been done, or the ad is very clearly a 'funny' of some kind, then it's illegal as you indicate.

Ad also mentioned Fabia Sport which I thought they stopped.

That was the one I preferred looks wise, even more than the new VRS, sure they will get it spot on in the end.

New Fabia Sport already available in Europe (as usual) but now mentioned on the SUK Fabia microsite My link coming soon I think it says.

Its the same thing in the downloadable brochure. The car just doesnt look the same in the metal. Skoda photography is very flattering and seems to show how the car should look.

The gap between the wheel arch and tyre looks a lot bigger in real life than the brochure. Makes me think they have used coil overs in the brochures.

VW used stylised drawings of the Beetle in their brochures for years - maybe it wasnt illegal back then (1940s and 50s)
