heys guys

okay , odd question really

how much movement does your front wheels have front to back, mine seem to move about 2" ish :o under braking

so far ive asked peopl if i can wobble their wheels and they dont seem as bad as mine,

mates audi tt- nothing what so ever

mates golf mk4- little bit

some random woman who was just getting home octy vrs estatewith 16s - about the same as the golf.

ive fitted new lower arms and anti roll bar drop links about a month ago. as i thort this movement was a fault of warn bushes but i guess its not :'(

every one at work says it dont look good, but i dont know? is this normal?

help mucho apreciated.

Sounds like a wishbone ball joint. My old Volvo did the same before i sold it. Only replaced that same one on the O/S about 6 months previous meh

Either that or the rear wishbone bushes have gone. Common fault. Audi TT's have different solid bushes so that would explain why it didn't move! Were the replacement wishbones OEM parts?

Also, try jacking the front up, taking the wheel off, and moving the hub around. You should be able to tell easily if it is the balljoints.

replacement lower arms had new bushes and ball joints on them, they are unipart ones and only made the movement a fraction less.
