He stated expected delivery should be mid October :wonder: Sounds good to me as when I ordered it I was told to expect anything up to late November

My VRS withdrawal symptons have subsided a little........

Opposite to me mate; I was told mid-September delivery when I ordered in late June. Only when I prompted the dealer last week was I told I'm on build week 40, delivery mid-November! It's nice to be kept informed isn't it.......

I'm sorry to hear that. From reading some of the postings from other members it does seem to be luck of the draw. I ordered my first VRS exactly three years before this one and did not get that until mid November???

Noticed you're in Lincolnshire. Did you order yours from Hortons in Lincoln?

Mine was ordered by Forces Cars Direct in Lincoln, but they use Motorpoint in Dartford as their Skoda dealer. They used Horton's when I bought my last VRS in 2008 & delivery times were much shorter! :'(

No I ordered both of mine from ALS Lock at Ely in Cambridgeshire.

I've been told I have build week 38 which they also said is the 13th Sept and take delivery beginning of Oct.

It should be a fairly close thing between our cars then It'll be interesting to see what happens. :wonder:

how long does it acutally take to "build"?

would it take an entire week (start to finish), hence the term "build week"?

or

it will take 1-3 days within that build week? or something similar?

Probably less than one day....bearing in mind the major components like the engine will already be made.

Ordered our 20T VRS on Saturday, Just been told its scheduled build date is week 47.

Should take about a day from start to finish to assemble a car, build weeks are quoted as the factory will have production planners who will plan which cars are built in that perticular week and will plan the production schedule anything up to 12 weeks in advance to allow suppliers to deliver components needed for the "just in time " philosophy employed nowadays.

Yeah, it's a bit of a bugger, hey? I ordered my petrol vRS in mid June and am currently looking at week 41. The salesman has marked it as 'urgent' which amounts to the sum total of 'sod all' as far as I can make out. but that's only half the journey over - it will take another 10-13 weeks, once built, for it to make its way down under n finally into my hands for delivery!!! arrghhhhhhh

Interestingly, I reckon my New Zealand-destined fully optioned Scout is going to take no longer from order to delivery than UK orders take. Ordered on 7th June, it's on a ship now, just about to reach Baltimore, USA and will dock at Auckland on 22nd Sep, so 15-16 weeks from order to delivery. In light of everything I've read on this forum, that sounds pretty good to me considering the car is coming half way around the world.

I ordered my VRS Diesel with a few extras on the 19th July, I'm not convinced the dealer ordered it until the 30th July. My car was sitting in build week 44 (1st week of November) with a delivery date 3 weeks after that. So to get yours in New Zealand within 15-16 weeks is good going. (I thought my company lease car went back 8th Nov, it's actually going back 3rd October!! Whoops!)

Mine is Build Week 35 too, cant blooming wait now, seems to have been ages (early June order)

So that'll be another Blue Petrol estate running its way around South Wales......

Placed my order today for a Vrs so am yet to receive the build week information but have been told it will probably be delivered end of December / early January!

Going to be a long 4 months!

My company ordered my diesel vRS on 10th august - it's scheduled for build wk 43, last week in October so about mid/late November.

We were quoted 10 wks at the time of order!

Ordered my white vRS Octy with leather on 5th May.. Was told week 25..then told it was week 35...

when i ordered my vrs in april was told week 30, phoned this week suprise suprise car is being built this week so should be with me in a couple of weeks

how long usually do the arrive after built .....
