Locate and replace ventilator

Featured Replies

Hi Roomster friends :)

My Roomster '07 has a problem with the blower/ventilator and I think the blower motor is the problem!

The ventilation system is completely dead, and the blowermotor has been sounding strange in the last few months.

But I can not figure out how to disassamble the car so I can get into the motor!

Anyone knows about a guide that can help me ?

starting poing is remove the glove box and polystyrene bit underneath, the blower is behind there

check the pollen filter is not clogged

have you checked the fuse?

Hi BlueCar,

The fuse is OK and also the pollen filter!

I can remove the top glove box and polystyrene bit underneath quite easy, and I can see the blower in there. But I can't figure out how to remove the lower glove box :wonder: so I can unmount and test/repair the motor!

VBR,

Jakob

PS.: I am a bit surpriced that there is no Hayes repair manual for this type of car!

haynes manual will be another couple of years, tend to be 4-5 years after a model is released to get them out of the dealers hands for servicing, it is worth emailing to show interest, i kept pestering them for the octavia one for about 2 years

not had to remove the lower glove box yet on mine, will have a quick look in the morning

had the wifes fabia VRs glove box out today to replace the fan resistor as she had lost speeds 1 and 2, i assumed the roomster would probably be the same 5 screws
