:confused: help please!!! does any1 kno how 2 remove the metal panel holding the electric window mechanism in a fabia. stripped all the door having problems removing the metal panel.

Yeah its not straight forward but here goes.

1. Remove Door trim

2. Remove window glass (two 10mm bolts through the two round holes with plastic caps on)

3. Remove door handle and lock (exterior)

3 Unbolt door catch

4. Unclip wiring loom from carrier

5. Undo 10mm bolts around the edge of carrier (or pop rivets if your unlucky)

6. Slide the carrier down a bit reach in and unplug the connector on the door catch

7. Remove carrier towards the bottom.

Note. it is very very important that the carrier is re fitted correctly or you will get water leaks into the cabin.

many thanks for your reply, the two plastic caps u state r they the large grommets?? does the same proccedure apply when the window is stuck down as in my case?

i have looked for the 2 10mm but cannot find them ? i can see 4 black type rivets, do they hold the glass? :confused:

If your window is stuck down then the regulator is broken. You wont be able to get to the two 10mm bolts as they are on the bottom of the window which is now at the bottom of the door. What you need to do is remove the top rubber seals from the door and reach in and pull the glass up and out.
