Rain niggle

Featured Replies

A trip to Wales over the weekend and saw my first other Yeti on the road near Aberystwyth. Overall I'm very pleased with my choice. I wish one could used the side windows without rain being dumped into the door window switchgear, I've had other gutter less cars that didn't let water in, might have to think of something to prevent this. Also at times find light reflecting (flashing) off of the painted door edge a distraction in the corner of the eye, some matt black tape will fix this. I thought I'd got past stalling it, but managed to do it at a busy roundabout in Oxford, a bit embarrassing.

I found the same thing happens on my Octavia Elegance Estate...

I opened the window to take the ticket from the car park machine and got an impromptu shower. really bad design if you ask me.

jeep (sorry but I find it very difficult to type or think that swear word!!)

Wasn't you parked in Llanidloes on Saturday afternoon was it?

I had this same problem with the last Freelander and bought some of those smoked plastic draught screens. They cured the problem a bit; you could have the window open slightly.

No not me, although did drive down the A44 from Oxford, one of my favourite routes. I usually take the detour at Rhayader and go through the Elan Valley and Cwmystwyth to Aber, It always feels like a shorter

route, but perhaps that's because it's more interesting. Did it once in the snow in my Xsara Picasso which was fun, if a little foolhardy! - but did not see another vehicle, which is always more of a threat than the actual conditions.

Seem to remember someone from Wales also has a Pacific Blue car on the forum.

We use the A44 to see the daughter in Worcester and the bit between Rhayader and Kington is good. Haven't tried it in the Yeti yet. And agreed about the Elan, Cwmystwyth diversion.......excellent bit of countryside, but then I'm biased I live in it!!
