Just bought my first Skoda

Featured Replies

Hi just bought a brand new Octavia SE 1.9tdi. (pick it up in September when the 60 plate) I know they have just stopped the engine, but i got a great deal for my old Renault grand scenic and the VAT paid for by Skoda. My only disappointing thing is while has the same radio as higher spec models. I can't plug my ipod into it. Is there an easy way without spending a fortune getting an aux cable in it? I don't really want to use an fm transmitter as the quality isn't normally as good.

Really excited about getting the car though its my first new car. I'm buying purely on recommendation of my friend who drives an ambulence vrs estate I know my car will be alot slower, but I don't need a rocket with wheels. Ive read about tuning boxes are they worth looking at? Its me first diesel too.

welcome m8 and sure ull be happy with the octavia

personally i wouldnt touch the tuning box but id get a remap and will make a big difference to the standard map on the diesel ... theres a group buy at the min on here for a shark remap which can be removed for servicing/warrenty work etc :smirk:

I most likley won't do anything to it. I have it on one of those options things that you pay them when the car is 3 years old. I do like the idea about being able to make it beable to go faster
