Replacement bootlid/hatchback for VRS estate

Featured Replies

Hi All. Apologies if this has been asked before but I've searched and can't find it. For the third time in two years somebody has gone into the back of the Octavia whilst parked (always different locations!). I'm starting to think it's cursed.

This time they've knocked a motorbike which has fallen and made a right mess of the bootlid/hatch door. As it's had a couple of repairs already, I think it's going to need replacing but nowhere is open Bank holiday Sunday so I can't take it in for a quote. The guy wants to pay cash and I want to give him at least a rough idea on cost so he has time to get his insurers involved if it's way above what he expects.

If anyone has experience or could give me a rough idea of what the ballpark cost of a replacement will be it would be massively appreciated. From what I can see it is going to be the actual door and possibly rear bumper, then obviously paints and labour.

Cheers,

Mike

A while ago I had to get a quote for a replacement boot door for my Mk I vRS estate,..... Won't bore you with the full story of why, and can't TBH remember the exact price (it was an odd amount), but it was literally mere pence shy of £220 plus VAT plus labour,.... That was from an official Skoda dealership,....
