Clock display

Featured Replies

Hi folks. I've got a late 2009 (facelift) Scout TDi without Maxidot and I was wondering if there's a way of showing the clock on the central display without having to turn on the ignition each time. It must be the most annoying thing I can find on an otherwise (almost) perfect car.

I've also got issues with the SD card taking so long to catalog and find music, but I consider that to be sloppy programming and therefore easily fixable when they get round to it.

There's not a way I know of setting the clock like that.

For the Bolero SD speed, it's a known issue. There's some discussion of the issue here

Columbus nav has a feature to show the clock on switched-off screen, maybe Bolero has too? Agree time should be on always when you open the doors.

Hi, I have a 2010 1.8TSI Octy2 Scout, and if I open the door the clock comes on right away, and goes off after about 30 secs but it is enough to see the time, as long as you have the time set on the display.It means you have to open the door a little to see the time. hope this is of some help.

I can confirm this too, on my 2010 Scout, once you open the door, the clock is right in the middle of the top on Maxidot.

That's my point. Isn't it a bit daft that you need to either open the door or turn on the ignition to see the clock? Surely it would be better to always have it on when the key is in, for example, or have a clock on the Bolero screen.

I can understand the clock on the display not being on all the time ,but I agree I don't know why the Bolero does not have a clock, since the Swing( Which is the cheaper device)has clock and temp displayed. Probably some sort of cost cutting by Skoda!!!

How do you get that up???

How do you get that up???

Setup-->System-->Time Display-->On

Ignition needs to be on, but car not running.

I like it how it shows clock when Columbus is not on.

But in order to have the time display when the Columbus is off you must have the later firmware installed, mine doesn't, it has the original factory setup so the time cannot be displayed.
