Do the various guises of the 1.6 diesel engine have a diesel particulate filter fitted? I have looked through the June 2010 brochure but can't see the answer anywhere. Help appreciated and thanks.

Pretty sure all the new diesel range has particulate filters........EU regs.

Both diesel units are fitted with high-pressure Common Rail injection, with a pressure of up to 1,600 bar combined with fast-responding piezoelectric injectors that are able to perform as many as five injections within one beat, resulting in improved engine refinement. Both diesel engines feature particulate filters as standard and CO2 emissions are under 110g/km.

The Fabia engine line-up consists of:

* 1.2 6V 60 bhp

* 1.2 12V 70 bhp

* 1.2 TSI 85 bhp

* 1.2 TSI 105bhp (manual and DSG)

* 1.6 TDI CR DPF 90 bhp

* 1.6 TDI CR DPF 105 bhp

Wot raisbeck says. And don't be afraid of the DPF. Raisbeck and some others here on the site have shown how reliable they can be if the vehicle is driven correctly in accordance with the instructions in the manual.

Hi,

thought there were 4 diesel options on the Fabia :wonder:

1.6 TDI CR DPF with either 75, 90 or 105 bhp

and the 1.2 TDI CR DPF (75) in the Greenline Combi

Believe they have to be fitted with a DPF to meet the latest EU V emissions requirements.

So far so good with my Yeti; not had a warning light as yet, although I have detected it doing a regen on a couple of occasions.

Regards,

TP

Yes, you are of course correct. I guess raisbeck is using the old model line up just prior to when the 75ps 1.6TDI and 1.2cr engines were released. All got the DPF though as you both say to meet the new European standard.
