Just had a call from the dealer wooooooooohooooooo! he said my race blue Octavia vRS 2.0TFSI is being built on week 44 and it will be at the dealers by mid November! isn't time dragging......................

It will more likley come end of November/early December.

Good choice of car there (I ordered the same) :rofl: Mine is Week 41 and my dealer told me mid-November too so either mine will arrive earlier than that or yours will arrive later. :wonder: When did you order yours? Mine was mid-June so it's looking like longer than the 16 week period which triggers compensation. Would rather have the car sooner than get a couple of quid off a service but since the dealer told me around 10 weeks, I might ring Skoda and see what they say.

Unfortunately, I reckon that's almost certainly what you're looking at. :S Did the salesman give you an estimate of when you might get it?

Lots of talk about the long delays but does anyone know REALLY why delivery dates shift so much? Mine has just gone from "mid Sep" to "week 3 Jan2011".

Is it too cynical to suggest a big push to get all the orders in then let the bad news about the delays trickle out slowly. Has anyone had their dealer ring them or e-mail them to say "sorry bad news your delivery date has slipped by 4 months"?? Or did you all do the same as I did and ring the dealer with "I hear there are delays......"

"High demand levels", "flood at factory", floods in Poland" "Euro/pound ratio means it's more profitable to maximise sales in mainland Europeand stuff it the Brits can wait" whta is the true story?

Mine was ordered 3rd week of July and I also had a build week of 44, I'm now down to week 42 to be confirmed 2 weeks beforehand. Yes it is a LONG wait!!
