Just collected my new 60 reg Fabia SE TSI 85 at 5.30 pm today. The cars ride/space and perfomance is a revelation compared to my old Nissan micra. And this is just when the car is being run in, the 105 must be very quick indeed. All things relative this car seems like it's plenty fast enough for my needs. I looked at many cars over the last few months and the Fabia gave the most value,/quality for the money. I hope it gives somewhere near the reliability of the micra.

But does it have rusty brake drums? (clue - It will have within a few weeks/months)

I've never understood why Skoda skimp on a bit of paint on those drums - some of the suspension and other brake bits could do with a lot more paint/protection too.

I have the same car and model and looks like i will be painting the drum breaks every year.

Damn I knew I should have opted for the stainless steel jewel encrusted magic glitter drums :wonder:

I have a Fabia 2 and my drums need painted, looks like a job just before the winter, so got to dust out my Hammerite paint soon.
