Selling price

Featured Replies

I've lost touch at the selling prices of the vRS these days, and have had a look at old posts and pistonheads.

I will be purchasing my parents car once they pick and take delivery of a new one, so I'm just starting the process of looking at selling mine.

Wondering how much people would put her up for, she's due a MOT in the next couple of weeks so will be put through that before putting up for sale. I would guess £3.2k ish, maybe £3k for a quicker sale?

Rough spec:

Skoda Octavia vRS 53 Plate in red

97k miles ( about 45k of these miles have been done in the last 2 years on a motorway due to a change of career, previous to that she was doing about 8k a year ).

Skoda service history until mid 2007 then Awesome GTI did all the work on her until early 2009 when I started doing 15k+ motorway miles a year, since then every max 10k miles I've been changing the oil and filter at home, with the carbonio air filter being cleaned/oiled every 15k miles, along with a 10k Haynes service schedule check. Every 20k she's gone into Awesome for a full service, plugs etc.

Modifications:

Suspension KW 1's fitted at Awesome GTI( Sept 07 )

Neuspeed rear ARB fitted at Awesome GTI( Sept 07 )

Carbonio CAI ( June 06 )

Baileys DV 30 dump valve ( June 06)

ZeroSixty discs all rounds and Mintex Extreme Pads ( Sept 07, both discs are looking a bit worn, pads look fairly decent ).

Jabba custom maps ( June 06 ) - 240bhp

Full Blueflame Exhaust system with 100cel cat. ( Apr 06 )

Cambelt and metal waterpump done at 50 k miles ago by Awesome GTI ( Mid 2007 but I would need to check the receipt for that ).

MOT untill XXXX

9 months tax

Always run on Shells finest and Tesco 99 RON

Oil and filter changes with Pro S 5W-40.

4 x Falken 452, all four corners changed 3 months ago, with 5mm front, 7mm back left.

One owner before I purchased the car in March 06 from a Skoda dealer.

Car is in fairly decent condition for her age, with one two inch scratch that's not very deep just by the Skoda badge on the back, and normal paint chips for car of this age and mileage, but no damage to bodywork, should be able to get a full polish/wax treatment done before going on sale. The mods on the car cost a fair whack to say the least and if someone is looking for a pretty sorted vRS this will be hard to beat, I know sadly that mods don't much effect the price though. Also no money was spared in maintaining the car, as Awesome GTI can testify :p

To be totally honest if i was you i would want £3500 with all the mods.

The best way to sell it would be to take off all the mods and put it back to standard, selling the parts off separate.

To give you a rough guide

Suspension KW 1's £300-£350

Neuspeed rear ARB £150

Carbonio CAI £80-100

Baileys DV 30 dump valve £40

Full Blueflame Exhaust system with 100cel cat. If you get a new one £500 or £350 S/H

You shouldn't have any problem then selling your car for £2500-2700.
