DriveThedeal & Interior colour

Two queries regarding an order my Grandad is about to place for a yeti! The first one is Drivethedeal offer the best price by far, anyone used them before? Anything to watch for? How does the pay for the car ultimately, when its ready does he send a cheque, or bank transfer the money to the dealer? With the deposit he pays, does that get taken off the final price DTD quote?

Finally, there are options for two types of standard trim, Onyx/blue and Onyx/silver, does anyone have any pictures of these two, are there many differences?

Many thanks guys, now I'm back to hide with the Octavia Drivers, this is foreign territory to me! ;)

Onyx/blue and Onyx/silver, does anyone have any pictures of these two, are there many differences?

Both interiors are black/dark grey. It's just the colour of the fleck in the seats that are different.

I would take a picture, but it wouldn't be good enough at this time of night.

If nobody else does, I'll take one of the silver flecks tomorrow...

I've ordered through DtD, and awaiting delivery in November. I filled in my order on the DtD website, who then contacted me, and put me in touch with a skoda dealer who took care off all the money issues. Very impressed so far with them..

Apologies cannot help with the blue interior as the article which showed some good pictures of it has been withdrawn from the web. However the silver looks like this;

If you went for the blue the silver fabric detailing on the seat panels and door cards is replaced by a mid-dakish blue with the same interwoven black 'mottling'.

edit; if you have not already found them try the SMOC flickr group for other owners Monster pics My link

The brochure is useless, both the silver & blue clothe seats look identical. I dont suppose anyone could provide a picture of the blue onyx seats?

Thanks guys & thank you The Plumber! :)

If you are at all concerned about online purchase, do what I did and show the quote to your trusted local dealer and tell them to match it, SIMPLE..

they can only say no, but I suspect that they wont.

I tried that with my local dealer and they refused point-blank. They then spent the next ten minutes slagging off DtD (and webuyanycar.com), telling me that DtD weren't able to supply the car at that price and would simply refund my deposit after it had been sitting in their bank account for six months.

Needless to say, I've now ordered a Yeti from a broker (not DtD, as it happens) and it all seems to be going well so far. Oh yes, and a saving of over £2,600 compared to the dealer!

Well, my dealer was able to get within £200 of DtD's price and I was delighted to be able support them again!

I'll get > £200 in quality service and a friendly reception whenever I visit

Win-win :)

I picked up my oct vrs today from the dealer Drivethedeal use (marlborough) and the whole process has been effortless from order to delivery. You fill in the online form, receive a call from dtd and then all future communication is with the Skoda dealer. Their initial liaising is not great but when the time comes to collect the car there are informative and helpful. Car came with a tank of gas and mats ( which I wasn't expecting foc )

Dtd commission is not noted on the invoice. The deposit is paid direct to the dealer and may be £500-1000 depending on options selected. When the car arrives the same skoda uk payment options apply as your local dealer but don't expect to negotiate on finance. My biggest hassle was getting to the garage to collect the car because I work mon-sat. No hidden charges, highly recommend dtd IF you local dealers, like mine, will not get close to the Dtd price.

Likewise Citygate Skoda Colindale were able to get within £300 of DtD.

Send me an email with the spec if you like, I can quote you. I'm fairly local.
