Bump. Anybody any suggestions? I tried again tonight to get the footrest off after coming across my nice new shiny plate but it just won't budge.

Isn't it just a 10mm nut? I used a extension although it was a bit tricky to get at, kinda had to lay in the footwell upside down

I'll give that a go.

Cheers.

Yep! 10mm captive washer plastic nut!

10mm socket on an extension bar.

Undo by hand.

When refitting cut the bottom bolt!

This will allow you to locate the bottom tab!

im just after fitting mine on sunday there, footrest come out ease, 10mm socket with extension, slide up slightly then pull away, job down. grrr what did you use for the colour?

I used carefully cut insulation tape for the red and green and a small

segment of my golden virginia pouch where the health warning is :D

for the black as I didn't have any black tape handy at the time. Then just stuck them

non sticky side up to the underside using some everyday sellotape.

It still looks great today and hasn't deteriorated one bit. I use the dead

pedal all the time, but the footplate cleans up lovely still.

Was quite tricky to get it all lined up properly mind you...

goes looking for some tape.... lol
