Hi all, noticed my gbox is a little whiney in first gear, only a tad, i'm not massively concerned at the moment but something that did take my ears was occasionally in 1st when accelerating I get a strange noise, I can't really describe it as a whine sort of a bit of a tick but it goes straight away with the climate control set to off. Very strange and does not do it in any of the other gears so wouldn't have thought it was a belt or anything engine speed related. Just 1st gear occasionally whilst accelerating.

if it only happens when your giving it the beans, its probably your traction control, edl depending on what type you have.

the only link i could think of with your climate control is you can hear it better with the noise of the a/c turned off.

hi mate. wouldnt even particularly say its when i'm giving it some!

just ticking in proportion to engine speed. hasn't sdone it for a while. i dont think i should be worried anyway!

was it happening more last winter when we had all the ice?
