My 56 plate octavia has fail the MOT on a wing mirror indicator not working, My local skoda dealer has quoted £34 for the part and £45+vat for fitting. Does anyone know how to changing the unit?

Also have a problem with the rear parking sensor which seem to work when they want to haven't really looked at them wondering if its a common fault.

The wing mirror indicator is the more important only got 10days to sort it out.

Can't comment on the parking do-dad, but my local Skoda dealer charged me £51.58 including supply and fitting for the indicator unit on my 55 plate. A stone had clobbered it breaking the lens though the lights still worked.

At that price I didn't fancy risking breaking the mirror as there's some sort of glass tilting, plastic yanking motion to get the mirror cover off then a few screws to undo the indicator unit. I think there's a thread around here with some piccies.
