Variable servicing and Maxidot

Featured Replies

I'd be really grateful for some advice re variable servicing.

Collected my new VRS CR DSG on Wednesday. I had asked for it to be set to variable servicing by the dealer. They assured me it had been done, but when I checked via Maxidot it told me that the next service would be due in 9300 miles, or 371 days.

Took the car back and they “rectified “ it. However, Maxidot now doesn’t tell me anything about the next service. There are just dashes where the info should be. Now the car has only done 300 miles, so maybe this is normal, but could anyone here tell me if it is before I go whinging to the stealer again. In all other respects their PDI has been fine

Thanks guys

Takes a while before the car starts telling you how long left til the service, can't remember exactly how long though

As its showing the dashes then that means its set to variable service intervals. After a reset (which you just had from the dealer) the car will show the dashes for approx 500 miles (depends on driving style). Then it will show miles/days until serice is due.
