Does anyone know if UK Fabia's(09MY) are pre-wired for DRL's?

Does anyone know if UK Fabia's(09MY) are pre-wired for DRL's?

As far as i understand its only FL models that are wired for DRLS, could be wrong though.

FL models have DRLS installed as standard - you just pop the cover off the fuse box and there is a small switch there, flick it to on and on come the DRLs.

Should be a second small bulb in the foglights at the outer edge if you have the DRLs and the "secret" switch by the fuses - page 46 on the manual!

Is this switch working for cars without fog lights fitted? My F/L Roomster doesn't have fog lights but it would be great to have dlrs.

I believe if the switch is there it should enable any DRLs you have fitted to your car, I know on mine they are built into the fog lights.

I don't think there is switch if you currently don't have DRLs built in. I think in the case of those cars they will be manufactured so the sidelight circuit will be switched on with the ignition when they become manadatory in the future

Thanks for the replies, it's a preFL Fabia. But I know some markets around the world require DRL's and other VAG cars have DRL's so I was hoping that there may be something already there for me to work with.
