I am after the part number for a passenger rear door lock as mine seems to be broken (2003 vRS). It will not unlock and is deadlocked.

I managed to get the door card off with the door still deadlocked shut without breaking any clips, there is no damage or water marks at all and everything looks as if its ok, I have tested the wires with a multi meter and it does seem to be receiving a pulse when the car is locked and unlocked but the lock wont release the deadlock so I am guessing the lock is at fault.

I want to get another one, plug it in and test it before going at the deadlocked one with the BFH!! Lol. I might just get a second hand one but just wanted to make sure I was buying the correct one, is the vRS lock the same as any Octavia?

Oh and for info I have also had the drivers door off and everything is ok there too, dry as a bone and the electrical plugs look as good as new so I have ruled out the common convenience unit (or whatever its called) problems!! Lol

Contact Skoda dealers Part section and they can advise you based on your reg or car year.

yes the VRS locks are the same as the other range of Octys.

the VRS is only a trim difference in terms of standard electrcs and stuff,

Also i think that the Mk 4 golf shares the same locks, but i can't be sure
