I know on some cars this can be adjusted but it is a dealer with his computer job I'm afraid, might be worth sending Skoda an email to ask as they will be the ones to know for sure.

There are VAGcom settings for the level of assistance the electric motor gives to the steering, so the steering can be made feel very light for parking or given more resistance (Less assistance means more feel for what the wheels are doing) for sportier driving. The ratio between the amount you turn the wheel and the angle the wheels turn to remains unchanged regardless of speed and power assistance level. If you went to a Skoda from a Japanese car as I did when I got the Octy I, the steering will feel a little too sensitive for the first while thanks to the wheels actually responding to the input you give the steering wheel.

steering weight on my 2006 vRS cannot be adjusted.

however. i have turned off the parking assist so th steering weight is same all the time.

i didn't like the video game feel

The steering on any MK2 octavia can have its weight adjusted, be it an early 2004 one or a brand new facelift. You need to alter some settings using VCDS, and thats all there is to it.
