Wakev has asked me to put up this photogrpah of himself, Lyn and their Yeti.

While I'm at it, here's myself, Lell and our Yeti.

Is this AQUA or one of the other silver/grey colours? I'm finding it really hard to identify them in different lighting conditions (and so to decide which I want to go for).

Believe it or not, ours (bottom one of the pair) is steel grey - I know it looks Aqua, but it says steel grey on the tin! :-)

I assume therefore you mean it's PLATINUM grey, presumably a former colour no longer available, BUT the palette of colours on the French website still lists 'Argent PLATINE' which looks exactly like steel grey to me! Can someone explain these different silver/grey colours to me?

Steel grey in the UK is the same as Platin grey in Europe and elsewhere. The discontinued grey is a darker grey and used to be called Anthracite. Look at this thread to see which members on here have which colour.

I have the Aqua Blue and in some situations it looks silver and others it looks pale blue. You could probably line up the grey, silver and aqua blue in certain light conditions and not be able to pick the difference. On other days they look totally different. The great thing about the Aqua Blue though is that it really takes the dirt well. You can go for months without having to wash your Yeti, if you are so inclined. I don't think you can judge the pale colours from photographs, you really do have to see them in the flesh.

Hmibennett you will see in the colour anxiety thread that I went through the same struggle. And to see pics of Antracite cars and liking it to then find it does not exist was a struggle! My current car is like Aqua blue. It looks blue under a blue sky and then it looks grey under grey clouds. And that is why photos are so difficult to judge of the Aqua blue colour! The steel grey (to which I have changed my order now from the Aqua blue) also seems to change colour a bit being bluer when the sky is blue. Or maybe that is just my imagination?!

I found these pics very helpful from a recent meet showing an Aqua Blue and Steel grey side by side:

Note how in the first pic the Aqua blue car looks blue and in the second pic the very same car looks grey!

Edit: added pics.

Well this thread got a bit sidetracked but since I now have my Yeti and have a few pics of me and him together this is the best place to post them I guess:
