The sound of metal to metal is starting to haunt me everytime my brakes are cold, or the handbrake is used on a hill just abit too steep

So my verdict is I need at least new pads, front and back, and most likely disc's aswell.

Can anyone give me a approx. price on the parts, part numbers, and whether to stay standard or go uprated.

Also, is it a fairly easy DIY job; whats invloved once the car is jacked and the wheels off (never done brakes!)

Don't have the part numbers to hand (and may not be much use cos your front brakes at least have different discs to mine!), but it cost about £100-120 for OEM discs + pads for the entire car from TPS for mine. I don't believe the VRS ones would be too much more expensive. I believe the OEM parts are made by Pagid?

It's easy enough, just time-consuming. You'll need a calliper rewind tool for the back (IIRC) brakes.
