A collection of people meeting at a preselected venue at a prearranged time and date

Sorry for the stupid title. It looked somehow amusing as I wrote it.

I'm planning on holding a bit of a meet at the garage; inspired by this THREAD.

I'm trying to get the following available-

  • Hot/cold drinks
  • Some snacky food
  • Skoda technican and workshop available for free health checks and odd bits
  • Indoor area to polish/clean your car if you like
  • Various demonstrators (Yeti TSi DSG/Fabia vRS/Superb Estate)
  • Possibly the Revo man here to remap cars if there is any interest
  • I can update your Columbus maps for you
  • Retrofit MDI to the Yeti
  • The chance to finally meet everyone in person

I'm also in the finishing stages of planning my raffle (just checking all regulations and laws).

We're hoping to be giving away a new Fabia vRS on the day. It'll be like one of those airport terminal supercar raffles things, there will be a set number of tickets at a set price. I hope the majority of the tickets go to Briskoda and that anyone who buys a ticket can make it on the day to collect their prize! But I need to confirm all the details....

We'll be hosting this event on the 28th November 2010 and we'll aim to meet for 11am at out Epsom showroom.

Would be nice to get a good Yeti turnout seeing as nobody ever seems to see one on the road!

Any Yeti takers?

Any Yeti takers?
Yes.

Sounds good to me..

Great idea but far too far for me.

Sounds good to me. :)

Should have my beast by then so guess I could make the journey - will there be any scantily clad and eyebrow wigglingly vivacious Yettetes to hand out the nibbles ??

:giggle:

I might just be crazy enough to try to make it. Any prize to whomever comes from furthest away?

How about an off road meet at some point in the muddy season?

I would love to find out for myself how well the Yeti copes off road. - land rover experience in a Yeti!

We've only got a 2wd version... could we bring the Landy?

I could be the official recovery vehicle for anyone that get's too carried away.... :p ;)

I do a lot of offroading and the lanes in Surrey are either far too easy and boring in a Yeti or they are a bit steep and a bit wet. I managed went down one of my fave lanes last week and the water at one point was at the top of the Lancruisers tyres which are 285 tyres....

We'll see what the weather is like that day and if we have time we can do an offroad adventure in the Yetis in the afternoon if you like.

The best place to take the Yeti to learn what it can done is Slindon Safari. It's a massive man-made offroad course with stuff to suit everyone and everything.

It's in Slindon (West Sussex) they are open the 4th Sunday of every month. £30 entry, they will recover you if you get stuck. So it's best to learn the car here rather than on some 33 degree rutted muddy hill in Shere!

Well, I'm claiming the prize coz I have property in Los Angeles :giggle:

We won't win any distance awards and, although it's a little early to say, we'd be interested in attending.

Well, I'm going to come and meet you all and you can meet me. Photoshoot idea coming on for a Briscoda 2011 calendar

If anyone is interested in this then send me a PM. If I get enough interest I can produce some (bespoke) calendars.

Anyone whi IS interested also send me your date of birth so they can be inserted as a memorable date too.............and if possible you will appear in the month of your birthday :giggle:

Unfortunatle I will have to make a charge for them but I will do this on a NON-PROFIT basis, and just to cover costs

Haha!! That would be hilarious!! :)

My aunt and uncle should be over by then - they're s from Oz.. I'll bring them along and win :)

There must be somebody closer than me to Epsom. ie prize for shortest distance!

There is a possibility I might be sent to Coventry if I turn up, as it is our 20th wedding anniversary a few days earlier, but there again, she might actually join me if we haven't gone away for weekend.

Sounds Brilliant, I hope dealers in Scotland are taking note, thats how you keep your customers and develop Brand Loyalty, well done to Allams

Good idea, but a bit too far for me.

Nope! try my actual namesake in Dunedin S.I. New Zealand - just a bit further than OZ (most people fly to OZ to get to NZ - so must be further!)

would love to...might be a tad too far :smirk:

Sounds a great day out, would like to come along however I have a couple of things to factor in; how busy I am, as along with the day job I've just started studying for my degree  The other factor being the location of my brother at the time, as he commutes between a number of 'homes' one being in Windsor, so free digs if he's there :wonder:

Sounds good to me. I'd love to try a DSG Yeti or the Fabia. Having said that I'll need to check the diary nearer the time because I've got a lot happening this Autumn including a house move. Great idea James:thumbup:

Yes, yes, yes! Sounds marvellous James and I'll be there for sure. I trust you will also have someone to hand in the car park to segregate Yetiii (?!) from Octavias, Fabias and Roomster so each "group" can get some good group photos?!

Sorry Rally GB that weekend, hope to be living in mine for a fews days in Wales, assuming I've taken delivery by then. Sounds like it could be a fun day though, very tempted.
