After a long wait, our 1.2TSI Elegance finally turned up and what a fantastic car it is! we can't fault it on anything at all, even the in-laws are impressed (they would moan that a Veyron lacked boot space).

You'll notice the MY11 changes in the form of no TSI lettering and the single exhaust rather than the double affair.

Its also got the revised Bolero unit as well, I am pretty sure the MY10 we test drove had the original version similar to my 2008 Columbus.

Genuinely can't find fault with it as yet, I am 6'3" and I have no problems at all, the rear view mirror is fine, not that much different to my Octavia in terms of it's position relative to my head.

The engine is just as good as I remember even if its as tight as a drum at the moment.

I was going for a Superb Estate 4x4 CR170 as my next car but now I am really tempted by the Yeti 4x4 CR170

And re the mirror: you've got an Elegance! So you have a standard rain sensor and thus the "correct" higher mirror! Hence you will find no issues with it.

We also tested a 1.2TSI S spec car and I didn't have any obvious issues with the conventional mirror on that one either. I suppose it affects some people more than others depending on the driving position.

It means Model Year 2010 and Model Year 2011.

In MY11 the 1,2 TSI had it's exhaust changed from a twin pipe to a single pipe. Yours is a diesel hence it has two!

Well it should be a MY11 but you need to ask TP if there was any changes to the TDI from MY 10 to MY11. I'm not sure if the tool box location in the boot also changed on the TDI as it did on the 1,2 TSI. That changed with the exhaust change. There was a thread with pics somewhere...

My 10 model year 1.2 doesn't have a TSI badge. It just says 'Yeti'.

The MY10 1.2TSI we tested had a TSI badge on the back, so did the other one in the dealership. Inconsistency maybe? I might go down to Halfords and get a 'Turbo' badge for the boot or how about a 16v sticker?

Our build week was just after the changeover to MY11.

Anyway, who really cares? the car is fantastic - badge or no badge
