Some interesting new facts

Featured Replies

There are some interesting new tidbits in the new online configurator. I've never seen any of these mentioned before online or in the brochure (for Elegance spec):

  • Dual aerial (roof and rear window) - this explains why people still get good reception even when they change to a stubby aerial.
  • Chrome pack - What is that?
  • Additional warning lights (door area) front, without rear - This makes NO sense
  • Electrically adjustable, heated and auto-dimming door mirrors - do both exterior mirrors have auto dimming then?
  • Net for use in boot - finally they mention this as being standard!
  • Storage box under passenger seat - this also finally gets a mention
  • Two-tone horn - likewise the Elegance's better horn
  • Without adapter - ? eh? What is this?
  • Non-smoking package - where do you get to tick the opposite?

I think the drivers side mirror is dimmed if the main mirror dimmer is selected, think about page 69 of manual, but stays undimmed when reversing.

Dunno about the rest tho ?

I sort of knew about it but their listing does use the plural. But then I don't think SUK knows the difference between plural and singular.

Duel aerial I think is common to all Monsters the 'other one' is in the rear screen

Chrome pack read door handles and gear knob

Warning light I think refers to the red lights (instead of reflectors) in the front door cards

auto dimming mirrors I believe is the centre and offside (drivers) not the nearside

two tone horn also fitted to SE

adapter rings a bell but escapes me at the moment

Germany probably :giggle:

A lot of these things we all knew about from visiting this website, but they were never listed in the Skoda brochures etc. And I have not checked, but I'm sure these things are still not listed in the infamous brochure! (Along with the other 26 I listed here!)

See the comments I made a few days a go when ordering a new Superb.

The Configurator is hopelessly inaccurate. It lists options which you can't order (e.g. sunroof) and doesn't show options you can order (e.g. heated washer jets).

Far better to download the latest brochure from the SUK website and take spec and options (with prices) from there.

Mark.

That is true Mark but as per that linked thread in my last post the Yeti brochure is even worse. This thread is more about the standard stuff that SUK have kept under cover until now. You will find numerous threads on here asking about some of these things - like the dual tone horn that was listed in the Irish website but never anywhere on the UK specs.
