Check that brake pedal !

Featured Replies

further to my recent oil issue, i have been having another issue, concerning the brake pedal...this started after a week of ownership, which resulted in every time i braked, the pedal would give an almighty squeak, which got rather annoying esp in traffic!!!....this had got worse over the last 3 weeks and also started causing issues with the pedal function, in that i had NO BRAKES!!...the pedal was stuck solid, and at the last second normal pedal movement resluted and i stopped just short of the vehicle infront, scary i might add....stupidly i put this down to the yeti;s safety functions( i know silly me, but ive had a bad 4 weeks, with my father passing away)...so hadnt had it checked sooner..well it was sorted today, the brake pedal shaft hadnt been factory greased and as such the pedal was seizing' to the point the pedal would have stuck!...phew, anyways its all smooth again , no noise and good brakeing'...so my advice is if u have a slighty squeaky pedal....GET IT CHECKED NOW !!

LOVE MY YETI THO

Yikes sounds like a Toyota !!!! Good job sorted tho ! There seems to be a few rattles, water and squeaks to eek out on the car still ??

tis normal for a new car to have its niggles...mine is the latest spec and doesnt leak or have squeaky dash etc etc...just an ungreased brake(bad factory or bad pdi)...hopefully the oil issue turns out to be nothing, i certainly aint gonna add 1litre every month lol

On the service to do list along with another pop at the cabin orchestra :giggle: (effects very occasionally and can be either or both brake and clutch)
